Make Bootable Pendrive via cmd prompt for win 10 ,7 & 8

To create a bootable Pendrive first, you need to plug in your Pendrive into the running computer.

Kindly, Follow the Given Steps to make a Bootable Pendrive.

1) Open Command Prompt window as an administrator.

2) Type “diskpart” and hit ENTER.

4) Now, at the command prompt type “ select disk <X>”, where X is the number of the drive or Pendrive (as shown in the figure given above) and hit ENTER.

5) Type “clean” and then hit ENTER. This command deletes all data from the Pendrive which you have selected in step 4.

6) To create a new primary partition on the Pendrive, type “create partition primary “ and then click ENTER. This command creates a partition in the Pendrive.

7) To select the partition that you just created in step 6, type “select partition 1” , and then click ENTER.

Note:- We need to format the selected pen drive as “NTFS” because Windows uses the “NTFS” file system for storage.

We will understand it in step 8.

8) To format the partition, type “format fs=ntfs”, and then click ENTER.

9) Now type “active” and hit

10) Now type “assign” and hit ENTER.”assign” command change or remove the drive letter of the selected disk.

11) Now type “exit” and hit ENTER. To exit from DISKPART.

12) After exiting diskpart close your cmd prompt. and follow the step given below Now type “assign” and hit ENTER.command change or remove the drive letter of the selected disk. ENTER. This command makes the primary bootable partition as active.

When you finish preparing your custom image, save it to the root of the Pendrive.
