Today, I invested about 2 Hours & Find These shortcuts for Gmail for Our Readers.

How to Turn On Gmail Keyboard Shortcuts

1) Click on the Setting icon in the Top-Right corner of Gmail, and select β€œSee All Setting”.

2) Now, Scroll down and view for β€œKeyboard Shortcuts” by Default this is Off Turn it On.

3) Now, Click on β€˜Save Changes’ at Bottom of Page.

Note:- Now, you can use the shortcut given below without any interrupt.

Gmail Shortcuts Content List:

1) Open Keyboard Shortcuts Help.

2) Select a Series of Message.

3) Select All Unread Message.

4) Archive Selected Message.

5) Mark selected Messages as Important.

6) Compose.

7) Search for Messages.

8) Go to Tasks.

9) Add a Conversation to Tasks.

10) Reply.

11) Reply All.

12) Forward.

13) Mark Current Messages Unread.

14) Jump to Newer Email.

15) Jump to the Previous Email.

16) Jump to Next Message in Email Thread.

17) Mute a Conversation.

18) Jump Back to Inbox View.

19) Insert Link.

20) Insert Ordered (Counting Numbers) list.

21) Insert Unordered (bullet) Points.

22) Bold.

23) Italicize.

24) Underline.

25) Switch between Send Name, Subject Line, and Body of Email.

26) Send Email.

So, Let’s Start Learn with the Topics given above for Gmail Shortcuts.

1) Open Keyboard Shortcuts Help: If you need any help during learning shortcuts for Gmail simply press β€œShift+?”, a cheat sheet of all Gmail shortcuts will appear on your screen.

You can open it in a new window by just pressing Open in a new window at the Right-Corner of the cheat sheet as Shown in the image below.

Cheat Sheet appears like the image given below.

2) Select a Series of Message: If you want to select a series of Emails, Then checkbox of that Email and hold Shift. Now select the last Email in that series.

3) Select All Unread Message: Hold Shift and 8, then press u to select all unread messages. By this same shortcut, you can archive it directly if don’t want to read those messages, I will tell that shortcut in the next topic.

4) Archive Selected Message: After the boxes are selected by the 2 shortcuts given above I simply press e to archive them.

These 3 shortcuts help me to reach 0 messages in my inbox to ZERO by archiving the messages which are not important.

5) Mark selected Messages as Important: If I have more than one important message I simply select all those messages by the shortcuts given above and press = to mark the selected mails as important.

6) Compose: If I want to compose a message quickly from the inbox, simply I press c to do this Quickly.

7) Search for Messages: If I want to search for a message in my email, I simply click / to quickly go to the search panel.

8) Go to Tasks: To directly go to Tasks I simply click g + k and I redirected to my task lists.

9) Add a Conversation to Tasks: Simply select the conversation that you want to add in the task then hold Shift + t, after pressing you will be redirected to your task lists and see that your conversation is added in your tasks.

10) Reply: if you are reading a conversation and want to reply to that conversation simply click r to quickly reply to that conversation.

11) Reply All: if you are reading a thread of conversation and want to reply to all threads simply click a to quickly reply all in that thread of conversation.

12) Forward: If you want to forward any conversation to another person simply click f will forward the same conversation to another person that you want.

13) Mark Current Messages Unread: If I have no time to read a going conversation I simply hold Shift with u to do that. And read the same conversation at another time.

14) Jump to Newer Email: If you are reading an old conversation and want to jump to a newer email simply press k to do that.

15) Jump to the Previous Email: If you want to jump to the previous conversation simply press j to do that.

16) Jump to Next Message in Email Thread: When I’m catching up on a lengthy email thread, I press n to quickly jump to the next conversation in the thread. This saves me time instead of scrolling with my mouse.

17) Mute a Conversation: When I’m stuck in a lengthy thread that’s irrelevant to me, I press m to mute the thread. Thus, any new replies that come to this thread are automatically archived.

18) Jump Back to Inbox View: To jump back to the Inbox View from Conversation View, just press u.

19) Insert Link: To insert a link, hold Command then press k to do that.

20) Insert Ordered (Counting Numbers) list: If you want to insert a numbered list for numbering, simply press Command + Shift + 7 after pressing you to see that now you are writing in a numbered list as shown in the figure below.

21) Insert Unordered (bullet) Points: If you want to insert an unordered list for bullets points, simply press Command + Shift + 8 after pressing you to see that now you are writing in a numbered list as shown in the figure below.

22) Bold: Press Command + b for bold selected text or start typing in bold format.

23) Italicize: Press Command + i for italicize selected text or start typing in italicize format.

24) Underline: Press Command + u for underline selected text or start typing in underline format.

25) Switch between Send Name, Subject Line, and Body of Email: Press Tab to quickly switch between the recipient, subject line, and body when composing an email.

26) Send Email: Hold Command and press Enter to send an email.

1.If you need to undo typing in Gmail, press z to undo previous actions one at a time.

2. Continue to press the z key until your previous actions have been undone.
